Islam ala Taliban is NOT Our Way
Everytime we look at sub-continent region, the image of Taliban will become apparent. Just take a quick look at Afghanistan and Pakistan.. these two 'Islamic' states are the focal point for Taliban. Do we have to follow Taliban's way of interpreting Islam?
I will be among the doubters that Taliban's style will survive in this world. But we can't deny that many Muslims subscribe to the idea which Taliban put forward.
The style of deen for Taliban is quite similar to Syed Qutb who give a simple division of the deen, either you want to be Islamist or you are the modern Jahiliyah.
Extreme in believe may caused unstability for not using other interpretation of Islam. Monolog does not help in this world, rather it should be a dialog, respecting others, implement justice and have a counterbalance attitude. All these are missing somewhere within Taliban's movement, I suppose.
